Nathan Sugunalan

Nathan Sugunalan is an Independent Researcher whose interest lies in the political economy of higher education and upper-secondary education. A particular focus on his research is the role and development of student representation in the industrial relations of their educational fields. His ultimate goal is to demystify and integrate power-brokering in education, so students can optimize their efforts toward ensuring their programs are academically relevant for employment. In his mind, this is the best way he can help facilitate the creation of better societies sooner. He is a former elected student leader whose experience spans from local subject-based student governments and department-level university administration, to campus-wide student governments and c-suite-level university administration. He received his Honours Bachelor of Arts in Geographic Analysis from Toronto Metropolitan University located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
